First-Time Serve Team

Welcome. This is the “how we do things” guide — not just tasks, but the expected behavior. If you do these few things well, you’ll help the whole night run smoothly.

The #1 Rule

Follow the Team Lead. If you’re unsure, ask. One clear direction prevents confusion.

Serve Team Posture

Be calm. Peace is part of the ministry.
Be flexible. Plans change. We adjust without stress.
Be kind. Speak with patience, even when busy.
Be present. Don’t disappear without telling the Team Lead.

Simple test: If your actions add confusion, slow down and ask the Team Lead.

Communication

Ask questions early (before the rush).
Use simple updates: “Done,” “Almost done,” “Need help,” “I’m switching tasks.”
If something is missing (supplies/food/etc.), tell the Team Lead right away.

Clean-as-You-Go

Wipe counters and surfaces often.
Keep walkways open (no clutter in traffic areas).
Return tools/items when finished.

Food Safety Basics

Wash hands before and after handling food.
Keep raw foods separated from ready-to-serve foods.
Cover food when not actively prepping or serving.
Label/date items that go into the fridge.
