Logging & Organization (iPads + Queue)
This page explains how to set up the registration table, use the iPads, and move guests through the check-in queue calmly and consistently.
Quick Rules
- The iPads and clipboard are stored in the Food Shelf area
- Passcode for both iPads:
1932 - iPads only work during Food Pantry open hours
- No guest goes through unattended
1) Set Up the Registration Table
- Unplug the iPads from storage
- Grab the clipboard
- Bring iPads and clipboard to the registration table
- Turn both iPads on
- Unlock each iPad using passcode

2) Open the App (Food Pantry Check-In)
- App should open automatically
- If not, tap the purple checkmark icon
- Confirm the Food Pantry Check-In page is open
Note: There is no app login — only the open-hours time limitation.
3) Check In a Guest
Always ask first: “Have you been here before?”
Returning guest
- Ask for phone number or name
- Search and confirm the correct person
- Tap Check In
New guest
- Ask them to scan the QR code and fill out the form
- If needed, enter info manually
- Tap Check In
4) Handoff to the Guide
- Hand the guest to the Guide
- Mark the interaction complete
- Confirm removal from the active list
5) If the Registrar Is Busy
- The Guide may pull the first person in the queue
- Only trained volunteers should do this
- If unsure, involve the Team Lead
