Midweek Dinner — Prep Cook

Prep Cooks support the kitchen by preparing ingredients and side items. Follow the Team Lead (Head Cook) direction and keep prep areas clean and organized.

How-To Buttons

Use these guides for common Midweek prep tasks:

Prep Cook rule of thumb: If you don’t know the plan, ask early. Don’t guess when timing and food safety matter.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, chop, portion, and prep ingredients as directed.
  • Prep salads and vegetables using the How-To buttons above.
  • Keep prep stations neat and food-safe (clean hands, clean boards, clean counters).
  • Stage completed items where the Team Lead wants them (covered when needed).
  • Check in for the next task when finished.

Clean-as-You-Go

  • Wipe counters frequently.
  • Put trash into the correct bin.
  • Rinse or stack used tools neatly so the kitchen stays functional.
  • Keep walkways clear (avoid clutter around the sink and stove).
