Prep Cooks support the kitchen by preparing ingredients and side items. Follow the Team Lead (Head Cook) direction and keep prep areas clean and organized.

Unified Prep Guide

Prep priorities change based on the meal and what the Head Cook has staged. Use this one guide for fruit, salad, and vegetable prep.

Prep Cook rule of thumb: If you don’t know the plan, ask early. Don’t guess when timing and food safety matter.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, chop, portion, and prep ingredients as directed.
  • Stage completed items where the Team Lead wants them (covered when needed).
  • Keep prep stations neat and food-safe (clean hands, clean boards, clean counters).
  • Check in for the next task when finished.
