Holy Spirit, Come

If you’re anxious, flooded, or stuck in a loop, pause here. This is not a test. This is a moment.

1) Slow the moment (30 seconds)

Put both feet on the floor. Relax your jaw. Drop your shoulders. Exhale longer than you inhale—twice.

  • Inhale gently through your nose (3–4 seconds)
  • Exhale slowly (5–7 seconds)
  • Repeat one more time
You don’t have to “fix” anything yet. You only have to arrive.

2) Speak the cue (out loud if you can)

This is the doorway out of the anxious loop—simple, direct, and submitted to Jesus.

Holy Spirit, come. Spirit of fear, I command you to go, in Jesus’ name. My Lord rebuke you.
If you can’t speak, whisper. If you can’t whisper, read it with your eyes. The point is agreement—your heart turning toward God.

3) Remember what this emotion is trying to do

This emotion is not your enemy. It showed up for a reason. We’re not trying to erase it—we’re trying to understand it.

  • What is it trying to protect you from?
  • What belief did it try to force on you?
  • What would truth + mercy say instead?
